Togaa didn’t start with a big plan. 

It started with a sketch on my dining table, a few fabrics, and one stubborn belief that Indian wear could feel modern, personal, and still deeply rooted in where we come from. So I left a safe corporate path and started figuring things out as I went. Sourcing fabrics, designing pieces, finding the right karigars, making samples, shooting content, replying to DMs, and packing orders at ridiculous hours. Some days, I felt like a founder. Most days, I was just trying to make the next thing work.

There were delayed launches, fabrics that didn’t work, pieces I had to scrap, people who walked away, and moments when I genuinely wondered if I was doing too much. But somewhere between all of that, Togaa became more than just clothes. It became a little world I was building, one piece at a time. A world shaped by Indian craftsmanship, but with a point of view that feels modern, personal, and true to who we are today.

And honestly, we’re still building it. But today, there’s a store, a growing community, and people wearing pieces that once existed only as sketches on my dining table. There’s so much more to learn, so much more to create, and so many more stories waiting to be told. Maybe Togaa was never about having everything figured out. It was about starting with an idea, staying stubborn enough to keep going, and figuring it out along the way. This is Togaa. And I’m still figuring it out, one piece, one idea, and one day at a time.
